Happy Mother's Day! My first Mother's Day as a Mom. Last year felt special too because we were well on our way and I knew I was going to be a Mom. Today I woke up to a gurgling baby boy and pancakes and then church. We got to introduce Silas to our family here that has been praying for him this entire time. It was very special. The Scripture passage preached from was none other than Paul and Silas in prison in Acts. Then super husband grilled a delicious lunch and let me relax. Wonderful day.
But how do I really know that I'm a Mom?
I'll tell you. I ordered a bathing suit last night. It comes with a skirt. Nuff said.
Lord, thank you for the blessing of Silas. You know that I've wanted to be a mother for a long time. I am thankful for Your perfect plan for my life and how now I can truly look back and see it....You are Perfect. Becoming a Mom is beautiful and straight from You. There is no way a union like this could be from anyone but You. Totally worth the wait.
