WE slept through the night!

Oh yes we did!!

Now, I don't tell you every time we DON'T sleep through the night, because it would be monotonous and you would get bored...

Here's how it went down...Marshall went to get us dinner and I fed Silas a bottle around 6:15 pm. Ususally our bedtime routine begins around 6:30 pm (solid food, bath, book, bottle, bed), but he promptly fell asleep in my arms. OK. I put him in his bed and after dinner I promptly fell asleep on the plastic couch. Marshall woke him up about midnight for a bottle and diaper change and then I rocked him back to sleep. Obviously we skipped the routine last night. This morning, about 0550 he woke up.

We did our morning thing and now he's taking his nap. (It only lasted 30 minutes, but let's focus on the all night sleeping!)

Sleep. It's a beautiful thing. When I walked, not stumbled, to the kitchen this morning, there they were: our pre-filled with formula bottles. Unused.

Glory!
Now if only I could figure out why he slept through the night so we could repeat it. We'll see.

Seething with jealousy here...if you figure it out, let me know. We have had two full nights of sleep since we got Josiah, but honestly...sleeping all night, every night would be such a blessing.

Yawn...

Yeah, Silas! Alexandra had about two weeks transition where she would sometimes sleep through the night and other times get up once to be changed or comforted. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a beautiful sleeping through the night career.

With Love,

It gets better! Soon, he'll be sleeping through the night, every night! But...good luck figuring it out in the meantime. :)

Abel's first couple of weeks were tough, but it's been smooth sailing since then. Granted, he is older. But when he first came home he was waking up constantly throughout the night - it was insane. It took some serious work to get him sleeping through the night (getting rid of the binki & trimming down bottle drastically - to appropriate amounts for his age helped a ton). Since Silas is younger he'll still be needing the bottle a lot more. So...I guess it is quite a bit different. Still, the longer he's home & the older he gets, the more sleep everyone will get at night.

Yay for Silas! Keep up the good work, buddy! (Mommy & Daddy's good work is a given here - but I won't leave the pair of you out)! :)
