Eleven weeks under our belts and not sure how many more.
Praying today that the court appointments for the first group of 5 families went well. I'll update when I know.
We are now #9 on the main list as a family accepted a referral for a waiting group of 3 siblings. Praise the Lord for bringing this family together! Isn't this adoption stuff exciting?! I sure think so. I feel really privileged that God has called us on this journey.

Thank you so much for your prayers. Unfortunately, the court date was not today. The date wasn't translated correctly and the "real" court date is Tuesday, December 11th.
Adoption is exciting. I find I get excited when I hear of another family who is welcoming a child by adoption. Which is just as it should be. It is a privilege to be called on this journey. Although I sometimes agree with Mother Theresa:
"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much."

Yes, I get so excited when other adoptive families are referred/united with their kids! You are getting close to the top of the list...that's exciting too!

JILL!!! Do you remember that group of 3 siblings at Kids Care that GQ wanted me to meet to see if we were interested in adopting them? That's the same trio that the Wegners (sp?) are adopting! Pretty awesome!! I've been thinking about those kids ever since!
I know, Heidi, those babies are going home!! Just makes me giddy. Can't wait for you to get your beautiful babies home too!!!
Wow....I can't believe you guys have been waiting 11 weeks already! We pray that the time will pass quickly for you guys.

how are you holding up? I know you were hoping to know somehting by Christmas. So did we. I mean we do have a referral but the court date is nowhere in sight. I have been ok till this morning and I am so ready to go get her!!!!
On the other hand how are enjoying Christmas season in Germany? I miss the European holiday this time of year. We almost made it to Czech Republic for Christmas but said no since we were not sure when we would travel. Now I wish we could go it would take my mind from this. We are praying for you and your two little boys.
