the fruit of being apart

I'd give almost anything for him to be home. To not miss our eldest son's second year or the pregnancy and birth of our second son. Sometimes I feel sorry for myself. Mostly I feel sorry for him missing so much. All of the Mommies and Daddies missing SO much.

And then I get these pictures. And then in a phone conversation he mentions another soldier coming to his office yesterday and asking to make Jesus his Savior.

And just like that, it's bearable. Just like that my eyes go heavenward instead of toward earth.

Tearing up at my desk. Learning this week in Bible Study about looking up to the Lord instead of all around. Thanks for the reminder!

wow Jill AMAZING and inspiring photos! As a fellow military wife I know the longing and heartbreak of deployment. Know that I am so proud of you and your husband!

That is amazing Jill. You always hear numbers about the death toll or those injured and from day one I told my husband I would love to see the number of those that have been saved! God put people like Marshall in that place for times such as this. Thank you Jill for being such a strong woman to support your husband whom I think has one of the most important positions in the military!
