summertime

I don't have the strength for creative and witty at the moment, but I did promise you pictures. Silas is fearless in the water and especially loves the water with Daddy. He jumps in from the side and would probably use the diving board if I'd let him.

We may have moved to a new state, but one thing is the same....some of our most fun times are still in our jammies.

His future is so bright, he needs shades...

Katy is home from Ethiopia and we enjoyed celebrating her birthday. Her stories from the trip convince me that Mocha Club is right on and making a difference in Africa. While there for a month she trained teachers, washed the feet of former prostitutes and everything in between.

Marshall is missing from this celebration. He is serving God and country and I'm proud of him. Now before you think I'm some rock solid super woman, I do have my moments. I absolutely hate being away from the man I love like crazy and happen to like, as well. Being a single parent is not easy and quite frankly there are some lonely times even in a room full of people. This is where God has called us and I won't waste the year complaining about it. Maybe just parts of it. God knows how I feel and He will sustain us. Please pray that this year brings incredible ministry and most importantly that people find Jesus.

We don't want this time apart to be a waste.
Silas and I are gearing up to attend the AW Africa Reunion in Branson in September. I've been looking forward to this for months as I knew it would be a bright spot and a true blessing to spend time with like hearted folks. Some we've met and others we forget we haven't met yet, since we feel like long time friends.
That's all for now. I need to go maximize the nap time. The house is fully functional, but there are still things to be done.
Thanks for checking in on us!
